Welcome! Online booking is for only for long-term clients who have achieved some goals and wish to book occasionally. If you are looking to book a free consultation to explore working together, please use my contact form. Please note a credit card is required on file.

To honour the need for service and my waitlist, I do not reserve unbooked spots. Frequent cancellations and rescheduling affect my ability to take on new clients seeking regular bookings, so please use this service mindfully. If sessions are frequently changed (more than twice a month), I will discuss this with you and try to establish a new booking frequency that works for us.

If you’re unable to find a time that works for you, keep checking! Often, openings become available last minute (24-48 hours beforehand is common), or email emwtherapy@gmail.com with alternate day/time windows you’re available and I will see if any accommodations can be made. I do not work weekends and any evening spots that are bookable will be viewable.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Time is reserved just for you and usually cannot be filled without several days notice, so I appreciate notice as soon as possible. You’ll be able to cancel and change your appointments up to 24 hours before our initial appointment. If you want to cancel within 24 hours, let me know via text or email. Same day cancellations and missed appointments will be charged the full session fee.

PAYMENT POLICY: If you are paying via e-transfer, please send it before our scheduled session. If you’re paying via credit card, you’ll be charged at the end of our session.

HAVEN’T SEEN ME IN A WHILE?: If it’s been 8 weeks since we met and we haven’t discussed booking or termination of service, you might not be able to book online. Please touch base with me via email to get started again.

Counselling / Psychology / Mental Health

Hi, I’m Emma (she/her). I’m a registered clinical social worker (RSW, MSW) specializing in individual psychotherapy and facilitation. I’m also passionate about writing, dogs, social justice, research, and social policy.

I engage from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive perspective that centres your expertise, goals, and agency. Time with me is usually experiential (in-session activities), in the here & now (drawing focus to the present, even when addressing the past), and values based (exploring how we can use our time to support you in doing what truly matters to you).

My approach to therapy is primarily shaped by acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, attachment theory, somatic practices, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices. I am a member of the OCSWSSW, Canadian Association of Social Workers, and the Association for Behavioural & Contextual Science.
